1. Statutory Rights & Product Standards
Statutory Rights: This Limited Warranty is provided as an additional voluntary benefit and functions in conjunction with, rather than in replacement of, statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude or limit the legal rights of a consumer in the UK.
Product Quality Standards:Under UK law, all goods supplied must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. When assessing "satisfactory quality" for pre-owned devices, we take into objective consideration the pre-owned nature of the goods (reasonable wear and tear is expected), their assigned condition grade (e.g. Excellent, Good, or Acceptable), and any cosmetic flaws or functional limitations disclosed at the point of sale.
2. Scope of Topphox Limited Warranty
Coverage under this Limited Warranty is restricted to pre-owned products acquired directly through the official Topphox website or authorized sales channels. This warranty is non-transferable and remains exclusive to the original end-user purchaser.
3. What's Covered
For the duration of one (1) year from the date of delivery, Topphox covers hardware failures resulting from defects in materials or workmanship. This warranty is limited to essential hardware functionality under normal use and explicitly excludes consumable parts, software issues, and accidental damage. Covered categories include:
- Hardware Malfunctions: Internal components failing to perform as intended due to defects not evident at the time of purchase.
- Functional Impairment: Significant issues affecting the primary operations for which the device was engineered.
4. What's NOT Covered
The following exclusions apply to this Limited Warranty and are also instrumental in determining the "satisfactory quality" of pre-owned goods under UK law:
- Normal Wear and Tear: Cosmetic imperfections, including but not limited to scratches, dents, scuffs, or discoloration, that arise from normal use over time and do not impair the functionality of the product.
- Battery Capacity and Aging: The natural decline in battery health and capacity over time is an inherent characteristic of rechargeable batteries. This limited warranty does not cover reduced battery life resulting from normal aging or usage patterns.
- External Damage Factors: Malfunctions resulting from accidents, misuse, neglect (physical impacts, drops, excessive force), improper storage/handling, exposure to environmental extremes (humidity, adverse temperatures, moisture), electrical faults, power surges, or incorrect voltage.
- Liquid Ingress: Any damage arising from contact with liquids, whether internal or external, including corrosion or malfunction arising from submersion, spills, or exposure to moisture.
- Connectivity: Issues involving network signal, Wi-Fi, cellular, Bluetooth pairing, or third-party software/hardware compatibility, unless the fault is demonstrably linked to an internal hardware failure.
- Software Performance: Problems related to the operating system, pre-installed software, third-party apps, software compatibility, or bugs introduced via software updates.
- Stated Cosmetic Damage: Flaws clearly disclosed at the point of purchase are ineligible for claims.
- Consumable Parts: Components expected to degrade or be consumed through normal use over time, such as certain accessories.
- Unauthorized Modifications or Repairs: Defects or malfunctions resulting from disassembly, alteration, modification, or repair performed by parties other than a Topphox authorized representative or service partner.
5. Warranty Voidance
This Limited Warranty shall be rendered immediately void upon any evidence of unauthorized servicing, attempted repairs, or hardware modifications. Furthermore, the warranty is invalidated if the device's serial numbers, IMEIs, or any identifying marks have been altered, defaced, or removed, or if the product shows signs of use outside of normal and intended operation.
6. Warranty Claim Procedures
Claim Requirements: To initiate a claim, customers must provide the original order reference, fault description, supporting media evidence, and troubleshooting steps taken. Devices must be verified via IMEI or serial number. Returns sent without prior confirmation may be refused.
Shipping:Once authorized, customers are responsible for arranging return shipping. Any device returned to Topphox for inspection, diagnosis, warranty assessment, or repair—whether under warranty or as a paid service—must be shipped at the customer's own expense.
Returned items must be securely packaged, free of all personal accounts or locks (including iCloud), and sent using a tracked shipping service. You must provide tracking numbers and clear photos of the parcel once shipped. Topphox is not liable for loss or damage during transit. All returns must be sent to Topphox's designated return center.
7. Technical Assessment & Resolutions
Technical Assessment: Upon receipt, our technical team will carry out a full inspection, diagnostic testing, and, where applicable, proceed with necessary repairs to determine if the fault is covered by the warranty. Returned devices undergo IMEI/serial number verification against sales records.
Resolutions & Return Shipping: If the claim is approved, Topphox will, at its sole discretion, repair the defective hardware, replace the device, or issue a proportional refund. Return shipping following an approved warranty repair/replacement will be covered by Topphox. If no defect is found, or if the fault falls outside warranty coverage (e.g. user error, accidental/liquid damage, wear and tear), the customer will be required to pay the return shipping cost before the device is returned.
8. Repairs & Repair Warranty
Repaired devices are covered by a three-month (3-month) limited warranty on the specific parts replaced. This warranty excludes subsequent accidental damage, liquid exposure, misuse, or third-party tampering. For iPhone 11–13 screen repairs, "Important Display Message" notifications may temporarily appear and will disappear automatically. Devices remaining unpaid for, uncollected, or not arranged for return within thirty (30) days from notification will be deemed unclaimed and may be recycled or resold to recover costs.
9. Legal Provisions & Governing Law
Limitation of Liability:Topphox's total liability under this limited warranty shall not exceed the original purchase price paid for the product. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Topphox specifically disclaims responsibility for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages—including, but not limited to, loss of data, profits, business opportunities, or goodwill.
Governing Law: This agreement and any disputes arising from it shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, with exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

Topphox assumes no responsibility for the loss, corruption, or recovery of personal data during any inspection, diagnostic testing, or repair process. The sole responsibility for data safety rests with the customer.
